What happens if you leave something behind

If you do accidentally leave something important or of high value behind such as a wallet/purse, mobile/laptop or important documents like a passport, we'll contact you. After that you'll have 21 days to collect your belongings. You can read more about this policy under section 2.12 "At the end of the agreement" in your accommodation contract.

However, we are unable to store lots of goods and there are some items we will dispose of (or recycle/donate if suitable) without advising you, including:

  • Bedding/linen and cushions
  • Clothing and coat hangers
  • Cosmetics/toiletries and cleaning products
  • Books and papers
  • Pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, utensils, glassware
  • Anything that is dirty, soiled, or perishable

Remember that you have to move all of your belongings out of you accommodation when you leave. Don't worry - our recycling schemes can help you with this.
