To make moving out as simple as possible, you can screenshot or download this checklist to fill in as you go.

▢ Clear room (inc. the safe if you have one)
▢ Strip bed (leave the mattress protector folded on the bed)
▢ Empty and clean fridge
▢ Clear kitchen and clean
▢ Take bike (if you have one)
▢ Clean room — shelves, surfaces, en-suite (if you have one)
▢ Vacuum carpet
▢ Remove drawing pins from notice board or blu-tak and magnets from the whiteboard
▢ Take all rubbish and recycling to external bins   
▢ Take any items you wish to donate to the donation points
▢ Report any damages or faults to reception
▢ Close windows and lock doors
▢ Check taps are turned off
▢ Turn off all electrics (except fridges and freezers)
▢ Redirect post/update addresses
▢ Return your keys/fob
