British Heart Foundation

Support a great cause through the Moving On Project by taking your unwanted goods to one of the donation bins on campus. Take a look below for details of what can and can't be donated and the locations of the donation points.

Between 2014 and 2022, this scheme has seen over £300,000 raised for charity and over 1,000 tonnes CO2 equivalent diverted from landfill. That's a significant donation to charitable causes!

  • Bags and accessories
  • Books
  • Computer games, CDs, DVDs
  • Electrical items
  • Crockery, cookware and homeware
  • Pillows and duvets
  • Any knives
  • Glassware
  • Dirty or damaged items 


Donation points

Tie your items in a clean bag and deposit your donation in one of the red British Heart Foundation points.

  • G Block, East Park, top of stairs
  • L Block, East Park

  • Rowancroft -Opposite Rowancroft Court
  • Ross House, Birks Grange
  • Clydesdale House (Laundry)

  • East Park (2 x donation points)

  • Lopes Hall
  • James Owen Court (Laundry)

Food donations

If you have any in-date, unopened and non-perishable food, bring it to one of the food donation points at your reception, available at:

Donated food items will be sent to local food banks and homeless charities.
