What to do if you need to stay beyond your move out date

You might find your contract end date is before the end of your course. Or you might wish to stay longer because of flight availability or for graduation.

If you're in this situation, don't worry! There are plenty of accommodation options available.

The best places to look for accommodation over the summer

1. Summer accommodation with the University

We have limited summer accommodation and we welcome applications from all registered students, whether you currently live within University of Exeter accommodation or are living within the private sector.

2. Studentpad

A free online service that will help you to find private student accommodation in Exeter.

From house shares and rooms for rent, to flats and purpose-built student accommodation, you can find a place to call home. Through Studentpad, you can contact landlords, arrange viewings and connect with other students who are also looking for accommodation.

3. University bed and breakfast

Over the summer the University also runs a bed and breakfast service within some residences.

You can see what's available and book online.

4. Airbnb

If you only need to stay a handful of extra days, you could also consider booking an Airbnb. There's a wide range of options available to suit all budgets.
